BLS data from June 2013 recorded an employment increase in professional and business services by 53,000. The growth for personal care aides is expected to increase by 70 percent and 69 percent for home health aides, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

The increase of demand for healthcare workers is expected to be seen across the board. As healthcare staffing is expected to increase, the need for administrators will rise with it. Healthcare administrators, or healthcare executives, are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating medical services.

They may manage a specific department, a group of doctors or even an entire facility. Their role as an overseer means that they must work closely with other healthcare employees. The job outlook for healthcare administrators is expected to increase by 22 percent as healthcare facilities start expanding.

5. Ultrasound Technician

There are a few ways for someone to pursue a career as an ultrasound technician but all involve getting training from a certificate or degree program. Those who have previous experience in another area of health care, such as nursing, may be offered on-the-job training from an employer.

According to the BLS, employment for this position is expected to grow by 44 percent between 2010-2020 because of the shift toward outpatient care whenever possible.
